Sao Paulo

This extensive metropolis is one of the worlds largest cities and by far south Americas biggest being home to over 18 million people. It is not generally considered to be a tourist destination but the buzz and vibe of the city is addictive making it well worth a short stay on any trip to Brazil.

Indeed the legendary Pele perhaps the worlds greatest ever player was born just over 60 miles from the city in Três Corações.

Perhaps the cities greatest son was Ayrton Senna the legendary driver was born here, on his tragic death the whole country went into national morning which shows the passion the country and indeed this city has for the sport that it also hosts on an annual basis at the Brazilian grand prix.
